Before that 3rd of 9 in the G2 Tea Rose Stakes at this track on September 19 over 1400m, 1.1 len behind Bangkok Hottie with 56kg at $7.50. Should eat up the extra 400m and looks the one to roll again.

Peaked on the right day rising to 1600m in the Flight Stakes. Runner-up was good in the 1000 Guineas last week. Top hope.

Form hard to fault. Last start favourite; came from midfield and won by a neck in the G3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill on October 10 over 1800m defeating Wonka carrying 54.5kg at $4. The run before that favourite; ran on from midfield and won by a nose in a Midway Bm72(70) at Rosehill on August 29 over 1800m in soft going defeating Doradus carrying 53kg at $4. Looked down and out last time - a filly of considerable staying talent.

Terrific fight to win off a freshen last time despite looking beaten at the 300m. Will be fitter and relish the 2000m.

Form hard to fault. Most recently 3rd of 10 in the G3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill on October 10 over 1800m, neck behind Proxima Dea carrying 56.5kg at $8. The start before that rolled along in front then was edged out late 3rd of 9 in the G2 Bill Stutt Stakes at Caulfield on September 27 over 1600m, long-neck behind Diameter with 57kg at $10. Looks a strong top-three prospect as always.

Settled further back than expected after being the last to jump in the Gloaming. Game effort there and looks a danger.

The run before that came from midfield and won by a nose in the LR Dulcify Stakes at this track on October 3 over 1600m on a rain affected track defeating Genesis Runner carrying 56.5kg at $4.40. Genuine colt who only needs to get the trip to be right in this.

Tried hard in a busy finish and edged out late by the filly last time. Honest sort who should be thereabouts again.

Dylan Gibbons who has scored on her two times retains the mount. Sure to play a big role. PROXIMA DEA (9) was a strong winner last time over 1800m in the G3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill, scoring by a neck to make it four on end. Should be prominent from the outset. Will prove tough to beat. STORMY MARCO (5) went back early from his wide draw over 1800m in the G3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill last time but hit the line strongly to finish fifth. Outdashed but got home well and the longer journey looks ideal. Can run on into the finish here. SCAROLE (3) has been in good form, scoring three back at Caulfield Heath then placing twice in a row, most recently when third over 1800m in the G3 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill. Nicely placed to fill another top-three spot.

One of the major players. SCAROLE (3) Missed by a narrow margin last start at Rosehill but facing a stronger grade. Won't be far away during the run. Don't overlook. Racing and Sports

The two star fillies hold the key. Must go with the Flight Stakes winner GLOBAL GOAL (8) who took a while to stoke up in that Group 1 last start but really knuckled down late. Perfectly placed out to this distance now and with the weight pull on the boys she can score again. PROXIMA DEA (9) looked dead and buried in the Gloaming last time out but came again in the final 100m to just arrive and keep her 100% record intact. That followed a six-week break so she can only improve. No risk she is up to this. STORMY MARCO (5) is the pick of the males after his eye-catching effort on the Gloaming, beaten just half a length after coming from next to last. Tommy Berry will ride him cold and let go topping the rise. Genuine contender. SCAROLE (3) has form around most key rivals and looks ready to tackle this longer journey. DIAMETER (1) is a half-brother to Cylinder so 2000m might be a stretch. Multiples only.

Best Bets

2 and 3 to lead 4 and 7. GLOBAL GOAL has done all the right things through the prep and the way she ran to the line to win the Flight it's just so easy to see even happier out to 2000m. The Gloaming top six are all here and of course the first five were only separated by half a length. WONKA ultra consistent and could sneak the perfect run. Both he and SCAROLE (still first prep) have plenty of 'miles in the legs'. Hard to knock the unbeaten filly PROXIMA DEA. All four wins have come by narrow margins but she just gets it done. Does this outside draw just get her a little far back is my first question.
