Caught the eye when 3rd last time at Rosehill and up against weaker rivals. Displays very good finishing speed. Going up in distance. Worth strong consideration.

Second-up. Promising on debut ran on from midfield and won by a head in a 2yo Hcp at this track on June 6 over 1100m on a rain affected track defeating Seductra carrying 56kg at $5. Went for a break before returning 3rd of 10 in the G2 Roman Consul Stakes at Rosehill on October 10 over 1200m, 1.75 len behind Satono Glow with 56.5kg at $21. Fitter for that run and there is a stack of room for improvement second-up.

Eye-catching return at good odds when third in the Roman Consul behind a classy filly. 1200m to 1600m isn't ideal, but he is promising.

The start before that struggled in the run home; 10th of 12 in the G1 Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill on September 26 over 1400m, 6 len behind Warwoven with 56.5kg at $31. Back a level or two this afternoon - a first visit to the winner's circle is overdue.

Went too hard in the lead in the Golden Rose, which was a new role for him. Bounced back with a good effort at Caulfield. Respect.

Drawn to have an impact in a race like this.

Second run from a spell won by 1.3 len in a Bm64 at Kembla Grange on October 10 over 1400m defeating Fiftyfivechevy with 56.5kg at $4.40. Will need to do even more to match a few of these.

Well bred gelding who has settled second-half and been strong through the line in both wins this time in. Can go on.

REVENGEANCE (3) met with solid support last time out but could only manage to finish eighth over 1400m in the LR The Tapp-Craig at Rosehill in a disappointing performance. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to turn the recent effort around. CENTRAL EUROPE (2) is a six-start maiden who finished fourth at his most recent outing over 1600m in the G1 Caulfield Guineas. Looks to be in the right race to play a big role. DIAMETER (1) settled well back before finishing 8 lengths adrift in sixth over 1600m in the G1 Caulfield Guineas last time. Goes very well at this journey, boasting two wins from four starts and cannot be taken lightly.

Racing and Sports

WHY SO HARD (4) returned from an 18-week spell and was lining up for only the second time when an eye-catching third in the 1200m Roman Consul at Rosehill last start. Should have no trouble running a strong mile. Exciting prospect who can use this as a stepping stone to better things. CENTRAL EUROPE (2) has had wraps on him since day one but remains a maiden after six appearances. Won't have Warwoven to contend today and he should be rock hard fit after four runs in elite races this prep. D-Day for him. DIAMETER (1) dug deep to take out the Group 2 Stutt Stakes at Caulfield two runs ago then got too far out of his ground in the Guineas last time. Has the class to win if things go right. REVENGEANCE (3) finished 2.5 lengths behind Warwoven two back but didn't flatter either side of that outing. Can finish top four if he runs to his best. OMOLONG (5) might not be up to this grade but from a nice gate he is worth throwing in the exotics.

Six stables provide this field of 11. We note firstly that DIAMETER has accepted in the G1 Spring Champion over 2000m so we'll see what decision is made for him.
